    No-Follow Links

    Noun

No follow links are links from one website to another that have been tagged with the following: ‘rel=”nofollow”’, this tells the search engines not to follow the link nor pass any benefit to the linked website. They are typically used when linking to a website that you do not necessarily rate highly or want to vouch for. You often see no-follow attributes added automatically on larger sites that allow users to leave their own links in comments (such as YouTube or Reddit).
