MARK FARISH: My name is Mark Farish. I am the head of marketing and product development for Hughes Europe.
Hughes Europe helps distributed enterprise connect together in a wide area network. We would be able to have the ability to make sure that all of their offices are connected into one network which is moving towards the cloud.
If you have a business and your business might be in Germany and you have a satellite office in Austria, in the Netherlands, in Italy, we can connect all those sites together. There is few other companies that has that ability. So where as our partners, or our parent company in the United States is speaking one language, one country. We’re speaking to the entire European/Pan-European market. And that in itself is a challenge.
We are what’s considered quite flat organization. So our marketing team consist basically of four people. And for us to be able to successfully improve our brand awareness via the internet, and then issues like having low web traffic, low brand awareness and not having an ability to kind of improve that, we needed to bring in some specialists.
So WRD provided SEO, SEM, content development, and as well as helping us guide the structure of our website into such a way that it’s intuitive for the user that when they come in that the content that they’re looking for is easy to find. WRD already has given us the ability to kind of make us what we’d call thought leaders by helping us build the content in such a way that has the broadest possible reach.
Our business is- it can be quite confusing and for somebody to understand what we do given us that we have such a long lead cycle for our customers, you know, we need a company that understands what we do and WRD has that ability. They understand what we do. They understand the pain points of our customers, and they help us reach them to how that we can provide solution to address those pain points.
We’ve seen a 35% increase traffic year over year. With regards to our social media interaction, we’ve seen a 70% increase and we seem to now have, interestingly enough, people coming to our website asking us questions about our content. We seem to be having now with the ability of what’s happened with our SEO, where people are doing search with regard to our technology and due to the SEO, we’re now coming up on the first page. When I say that specifically SD-WAN Europe, SASE Europe, we are on page one and these are two critical components of the products that we offer for our customers.
The work that we do together is so customized and bespoke that we work together as an extended team to address the problems that we’re seeing with regards to, as I had mentioned or has been said before, is driving people to our content. And that content which was helped develop by WRD is compelling enough that is now changing it and enabling us to actually have customers coming in and we’re generating new business through our SEO, SEM and our social media content.
